What is Sports Massage?
Please see our blog by clicking here
Does it hurt?
Sports massage may occasionally cause some mild soreness due to its deep tissue techniques, but it shouldn't be excessively painful. Your therapist will collaborate with you to ensure that the massage is beneficial causing discomfort. We often utilise pain scales to work with you to pinpoint any tender areas and address them as comfortably as possible.
What should I wear?
Generally loose fitting clothing is best choice for most massage treatments.
If we are working on your back or upper body we would ask you to remove your top however you can obviously keep your trousers or shorts on. If we are working on your Lower body then please wear loose fitting underwear or shorts that can be moved easily, please be assured that where required you will be able to remove your clothing in privacy and will be covered with a large towel throughout your treatments. If you are at all uncomfortable with anything please just say, we can happily answer questions relating to the treatment you are looking for and hopefully provide some reassurance if you have any questions or anxieties.
